Senior Tax Associate

Responsibilities
Prepare complex tax returns for individuals, businesses and trusts
Review tax information supplied by the client and will meet with and/or contact client regarding general or complex tax questions
Recognize, anticipate, and resolve tax issues and make recommendations
Create quarterly estimates and projections
Perform tax research
Work with tax staff to respond to tax notices and initial preparation of corresponding letters
Stay up to date on tax law and any changes, as well as communicate the effects of the law changes to clients
Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax projects
Partake in business development opportunities for the firm
Compensation
$90,000 to $120,000 annually
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or tax
Successful completion of the CPA exam, licensed CPA, licensed EA, or JD
Two years of experience as a Senior Tax Associate, or 4 years of experience as a Tax Associate
Excellent research and writing skills
Strong customer service skills with ability to empathize and instill confidence
Strong tax knowledge and general accounting skills
Experience in troubleshooting common tax program problems
Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations with many clients
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient knowledge of Intuit's Lacerte Tax software
Proficient knowledge of Intuit's QuickBooks suite
